I just don't get why people hate him
People say he takes too much screen time. Characters need to show development that's why they have a lot of screen time.
Some people blame him for Pyrrha's death and wished he died instead of her. Each experience makes Jaune a better leader. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses can improve him as a person and a leader.
Some people are sexist saying "this is about the girls of Team RWBY and not about a clumsy token liar who suffers from motion sickness and happens to be a boy who is a terrible leader and let his teammate/girlfriend die" or basically "It's about Team RWBY and not about a blonde boy with no meaning to the show".
Others just hate him for being a plot device.
Or maybe people think of him as a overconfident sensitive weakling who gets picked on and wings it like he's Leeroy fucking Jenkins.
Don't hate me but I love Jaune as a character.

Do you think RWBY Chibi should get a Valentine's Day special?

One part of the special is the heroes suspecting the villains are planning something evil when they announce a Valentine's Day truce and the heroes later almost attack them only to find out that they are telling the truth when they see Neo and Roman sharing a table at a restaurant while Mercury and Emerald sharing another table in the same restaurant, then the heroes leave without the villains noticing and the heroes celebrate their own Valentine's Day.
